Shortly after joining the League, she was seriously injured in a battle with The Grey
Man, vastly reducing her powers. She can still fly, and remains super-strong and partially invulnerable, but not to the same extent. Through a deal with a Cthonic Earth- mother deity, she became pregnant, and gave birth to a baby boy in the midst of Zero Hour. |

Kara was actually a time traveller born nearly
50,000 years ago. Born in an ancient Atlantean society, she had magic in her blood, which was enhanced through the biogenetic experiences of her grandfather, Arion. Kara was only two when she was possessed of an evil spirit; the only way to save her was to place her in a crystal chamber and send her to another dimension, where timed flowed differently.
When she returned to our dimension in the
late 20th century, she was at first delusional, thinking herself to be a lost Kryptonian cousin of Superman. She ultimately learned the truth, and decided to live both a 'normal' life as Karen Starr in modern society as well as using her fantastic abilities to serve humanity as a member of Infinity, Inc., and later, Justice League Europe. |

Gorden, former BatGirl). An uneasy friction exists between the two due to a previous yet unrevealed incident. Besides her beauty and physical attributes, it seems Kara has a different costume for nearly every day of the week, and wears them as the mood strikes her. |
